They enhance skin cell regeneration, which improves scar healing, and reduces the signs of pigmentation and wrinkles. You can read about these fabulous oils here. Double Double Face Cream is formulated to increase the retention of water within the skin and so helps to keep the skin hydrated, soft and supple.
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural molecule present throughout the body. It helps hydration in your skin, connective tissue and eyeballs, and helps the cushioning in your joints. It is the most powerful humectant we know of and can absorb 600-1000 times its own weight in water. Once past your 30s, your body starts to produce less hyaluronic acid and this is where adding it to Double Double Face Cream helps. We use two types of Hyaluronic acid of differing molecular weights, so that it penetrates and acts in both the superficial and deeper skin layers. Hyaluronic acid plumps the skin, helping it to look firmer and tighter, as well as to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Kakadu Plum Extract
Kakadu Plum is an Australian native plant which is found only around Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The Kakadu Plum fruit has the highest known Vitamin C concentration of any single natural food source in the world. As a result, Indigenous Australians have used it extensively for food as well as traditional medicine. It is an excellent source of antioxidants for skin.
Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone)
CoQ10 is a natural antioxidant produced by the body. It helps to stimulate circulation and boosts energy in cells. However, from about 30 years of age, CoQ10 production starts to slow down. Topical application of CoQ10 has been found to protect and repair collagen and elastin in the skin and to fight free radicals that attack skin cells. Hence, it is useful for smoothing wrinkles and delaying the signs of ageing.
Silk Amino Acids
Silk amino acids, or silk protein, is easily absorbed into the skin where it binds with keratin. This helps prevent moisture from escaping and boosts the strength and vitality of skin cells.
Colloidal oatmeal is a natural treatment for very dry skin. It is very soothing and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It forms a light barrier on the skin, preventing the loss of moisture.
Aloe Vera penetrates quickly and deeply into the skin. It contains phytosterols and polysaccharides, which hydrate and moisturise, binds water within the skin, and helps to reduce inflammation.
